Sensō-ji

Founded in the 7th century, Sensō-ji is the oldest temple in Tokyo. The 200-metre-long street towards the main temple is lined with many stalls and shops that sell folding fans, yukata, dumplings, rice crackers and other Japanese snacks and souvenirs.

And the 366-year-old Asakusa Shrine, which serves as the venue for the annual Shinto festival called Sanja Matsuri, is just a stone’s throw away.

Located in central Tokyo, the Tsukiji Fish Market is a spacious fish and produce market that is the largest of its kind in the world. With more than 2,000 tons of fish and other seafood being handled each day, it has a busy and dynamic atmosphere that a lot of tourists enjoy starting their day with.

The market is located above the Tsukiji Shijo Station, and its main wholesale area is open to visitors from 9 in the morning. It also has an outer market that starts operation at around 5 am and a tuna auction event that accepts up to 120 visitors per day beginning 5:25 am.

Odaiba

Best known for its shopping and entertainment establishments, Odaiba is a man-made island district that is a must-visit for every tourist in Tokyo. It is home to several of the city’s most popular attractions, such as the Fuji TV Building, Aquacity Odaiba, Tokyo Joypolis, DiverCity Tokyo Plaza and numerous restaurants, stores and indoor theme parks.
